CERT Polska has identified a phishing campaign targeting the academic community. Scammers are using the pretext of outstanding tuition fees to defraud people of their money.

Warning! Messages from fraudsters are arriving in email inboxes using the university’s domain! Criminals are using compromised accounts belonging to students, PhD students and university staff to reach
other members of the academic community. Before you make a bank transfer or provide your login details, verify the authenticity of the request with the Dean’s Office

We would also like to remind you of the best practices regarding the use of unique passwords for different services and the use of two-factor authentication (2FA). We also encourage you to let your friends know – fraudsters may target them too!
