On July 3, 2026 in prof. W. Zahorski Lecture Hall in Katowice-Ligota our University hosted the graduation ceremony organized for medical graduates of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice, Medical University of Silesia in Katowice who completed their medical studies
in English language in June this year.

This ceremonial event is organized at the University twice an academic year. This time 32 foreign medical graduates were honored to obtain their MD degrees.

The ceremony was attended by Professor Edward Wylęgała, MD, PhD – Vice-Rector for Development and Transfer of Technology of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice,
Professor Tomasz Francuz – Dean of the Faculty of Medical Sciences in Katowice, and Vice-Dean Professor Grzegorz Helbig, MD, PhD.

Alongside faculty members and representatives of the academic community, the ceremony was attended by numerous family members and loved ones of the graduates, who had travelled from across the globe to celebrate the graduates’ achievements and mark the beginning of an important new chapter in their professional careers.
